What to Bring and What to Leave Home

For your safety and the safety of your fellow residents, the following items are not permitted in the residence halls:

Hot plates, toaster ovens, microwaves, electric skillets, coffee/hot water pots, sandwich grills, juicer and other electrical cooking appliances
Portable space heaters
Air conditioners (window or room units)
Non–institutional furniture and mattresses
Inflatable furniture/mattresses
Floor /door mirrors
Candles, incense, air freshener with plug-in adapter
Extension cords, multiple-plug adapters, power strips without circuit breakers, halogen lamps
DJ equipment, boom boxes, large speakers
Gym equipment, weights
Power tools
Curtains, banners, hanging fabrics, flags, full wall posters (entire wall may not be covered)
Alcohol/drugs and related paraphernalia.
Any tray containing ashes of any type, if found, must get confiscated.
Weapons, items perceived as weapons (no exceptions)
Non-approved holiday decorations
Pets
Masking Tape
