JERSEY CITY, N.J. | (NJCU) has announced the signing of an academic articulation agreement with the Jersey City Board of Education (JCBOE) aimed at enhancing the operation of the Jersey City Public Schools (JCPS) Visual and Performing Arts Program.
The district will lease the upper floors of the university’s Grossnickle Hall and have access to other NJCU facilities and equipment through this groundbreaking agreement. Additionally, the agreement grants access to programming designed to support and expand opportunities in the visual and performing arts for local students.
Through this partnership, NJCU will offer JCPS students unparalleled access to state-of-the-art facilities, including the historic Margaret Williams Theatre, along with opportunities for dual-credit courses and shared-use spaces. The agreement fosters collaboration that will inspire innovation, creativity, and excellence within the arts education community, equipping students with the tools to pursue their artistic passions and potential.
